RULES

All gassers must comply with the following rules for access to the drag strip:

• Pre 1966 traditional style gassers only

• All non-American Gassers must have straight axle front ends

• VW gassers cars are welcome

• MUST Have roll cage

• Must have racing harness

• Make them safe, no piles of junk with V8s jammed in them

• Helmets must be worn in ALL VEHICLES

• No passengers 

• Tyres // must have some grip - NO slicks!

Registration

- There will be  16 racing slots

- Apply via the 'GASSER ELIMINATION REGISTRATION' button/form

- there will be only 12 locked in race slots picked from the applications 

- Vehicles that have not made the 12 are eligible to race on the weekend for one of 4 wildcard slots 

- Vehicles that have not applied to race in advance via the registration link are welcome to turn up on the Weeknd and race for a wildcard entry

- vehicles that do not make the 16 are welcome to take part in the open racing hours across all 3 days

general
- All Vehicles are to be scruitinered upon entry into the event
- All vehicles must have must display 'passed' scruitinering sticker
- All Participants are to sign 'Dirt Drags waiver form' (waiver form station is located in the main event area next to the chopped Merch tent)
- participants must wear their waiver wristband at all times
- Participants are welcome to do test runs throughout the open range periods over the 3 days

- there is no class separation - N/A and Blowen will be competing together

Friday

WildCArds // 1pm - 2pm

- All wildcards

- elimination format tbD

Rnd 1 Elimination // 3pm - 4pm

- All 16 vehicles will have 3 head to head races​

- Racing pairs will be picked at random

- 3 points for a win // 1 point for a loss

- top 12 entries go through to Rnd 1 (bottom 4 are eliminated)

- head to head - sudden death for tied elimination contention

SATURDAY

Rnd 2 Elimination // 3pm - 4pm

- Points will be reset to zero

- top 12 vehicles will have 3 head to head races​

- Racing pairs will be picked at random

- 3 points for a win // 1 point for a loss

- top 8 entries go through to finals (bottom 4 are eliminated)

- head to head - sudden death for tied elimination contention

SUNDAY

FINALS // 11am

- SUDDEN DEATH RACING

- 12 races total

- 1st place winner // CHOPPED 'GASSER ELIMINATION' LORD

- 2nd - 8th positions decided

Trophies // 1pm

- Perpetual // CHOPPED 'gasser shootout' lord (Sunday 1pm)

- CHOPPED 'gasser shootout' Runner-up
